Shadows at the Duck Pond

During one of our visits to the Montana State University duck pond, I happened to notice these shadows. The crookedness of the shadows was accentuated by the snowbanks that they rested upon.

There is a shadow that appears every night on the curtain of my living room. It is the shadow of a tree and I love it.

Mysterious, scary even. Great, 'natural' shadows!

Thank you for your kind comments everyone. While the lighting on the MSU campus makes these great shadows at night that give an air of being in a fairy tale, it is one of the few places I feel safe walking around at this time of night. Not that Bozeman is a dangerous city. The campus feels safe. There are a few parks in this city I wouldn't like to be in once the sun goes down. Not without my husband anyway.
