Denver Zoo in the Daytime

We usually go see the Denver Zoo at night because they put up some really cool Christmas Lights. The exhibit is called Denver Zoo Lights. This year, however, it was very balmy in Denver, in the 50s, so we decided to go by the zoo during the day. Glad we did since we were able to see most of the animals we miss when we go at night.

If you ever get a chance to go in the day or at night during Zoo Lights, I highly recommend it.

cool animal zooie pictures!! :]

the light festival is impressive i'm sure...but being able to see the animals is a treat too! (( makes me think how even though zoos have come a long way...since CAGES...they're still not FREE! :( ))

great pictures though, as always!

It sure looks like a worthwhile visit, even if I do not know when/if I;ll ever go to Denver ;-)
Beautiful animal photographs

Laura - Thank you for the kind comment. I, too, am ambivalent about zoos. I like to go see the animals. On the other hand, it's very sad that they are not free. No matter how large the enclosure, it's just not enough space. I would like to go to the San Diego Zoo some day. That's supposed to be quite the experience.

Anyes - Thank you for the kind comment. We have an excuse for our annual visit to Denver - relatives! My husband grew up near there and we lived there for awhile, so it's a bit like going home.
