Surprise Guest

The other day one of our gym teachers asked my teacher, the one with the butterflies in her room, if she knew she had this. She said what? At which point he showed her a frog. Well, apparently one of the kids managed to sneak a frog back from a family trip by putting it in his pocket. Then the next day he put said frog into his backpack in a plastic container filled with water. Sans lid. All this without his mom's knowledge.

Fortunately, the little fellow's esacpe attempt was thwarted before the whole school had to be turned upside down and inside out. He's been a guest in the room for the last couple of days. Coming as a shock to his mom as well, we're not sure yet when the little guy can head to his new more permanent home. Has to be soon, though, there's only 2.5 days left of school.

As a bonus feature for those who dislike little creepy crawlers, you can click on the link below to see this guy eat a darkling beetle. I'm pretty sure it's not in the science project guidelines to use a frog to clean up after your corn meal worm experiment. It works though!

That's one crafty kidlet sneaking around with this amphibian. Hopefully he'll find the right environment to enjoy his days.
